Artist Statement
The ability to express certain ideas of memory, space and time through light lead me to substituting product design for installation work I began to explore how light effects different materials coupled with my ability to visualise these ideas using natural or man-made light that I feel makes for a richer experience of light.
Selecting everyday commonplace materials that can accommodate light altering properties, changing the primary use while being receptive to the narrative development of time and space I considered the typologies and vernacular of rooms and spaces and the unbuilt environment
