Artist Statement
My work has evolved over many years of practice and development. It has ranged from painting to sculpture and a small collection of prints from college. I was raised in Leitrim and moved to Dublin in 2004 to start my BA Hons in Fine Art at the Dublin Institute of technology. I have just completed that degree with a graduate exhibition show featuring my Sculptural pieces. The sculptural pieces are inspired by certain paintings, re-designed into my manner of work and perception. I intend to continue my discovery of materials and methods of interpretation of the human figure and of everyday scenes involving the human figure.
